Alberto Centurion. I'm a father of two from North Carolina, am a novice woodworker and like making stuff. I really like papercraft and thought this was a great opportunity to make something with my kids. I made this plane from a plan I found online, printed on cardstock, a straw and a skewer. I glued it all together with wood glue since the bottle was already handy.

Archana Satyamurthy. I am Archana. I am a homemaker. I had lots of free time, so my nerdy husband got me Legos. I build a plane based on the picture mentioned in the manual. I would like to thank my nerdy husband who gave this idea. I feel really nice doing this. And here it is. :-)

In 1991 with very limited tools and under our house we began making small crafts for sale at craft fairs. Then, in 1995 we moved to a small commercial building where we continued to make a larger variety of crafts and selling some of our large bi planes (measuring 48″ X 18″) to a juvenile furniture retailler; The bi plane whose photo we are submitting measures 18″ X 4″ and stands 12 inches high.

Mike Pilone. I'm a software architect and hobbies woodworker. This was a fun project to support a good cause. The planes are made of aromatic cedar and poplar.

Matt. I can't wait to give my little wooden airplane to my toddler! Made of some scrap 3/4 pine. Steve, I very much enjoy what you do, and I will support this charity as much as possible. You have done some amazing things in the woodworking community, all while humbly using equipment that the average weekender can manage acquiring. Thanks again for the information and entertainment over the years! Matt Savannah, GA

Chase "Woody Carpenter" Haecker. I am a High School Construction Technology Electives teacher in San Antonio Texas. I have been a carpenter by trade for 20+ years prior to becoming a teacher. This photo is just MY submittal. I will be posting my students' planes too! All planes are made out of reclaimed wood material otherwise deemed 'trash'. I run my shop at school like a 'real world construction jobsite experience" for my students. They are mostly At-Risk, many special needs....but all great young men and women! They are our future and I work each day showing them the many facets of carpentry and woodworking! This year...we are building 5 actual houses for Habitat for Humanity San Antonio. We built 3 last year and are halfway through the first one this year. We are also doing the project for Woodworkers Fighting Cancer (5 sets of chairs and tables), Parade of Playhouses for Prevention of Domestic Violence (Battered Women and Children Shelter of San Antonio), toys and toy drive for Elf Louise Foundation (Christmas project for needy children in San Antonio). All while certifying my students in OSHA 10 Construction and NCCER Carpentry! I am passionate and love my job and my kids. Steve Ramsey is one of the YouTubers that I share videos of with my students and his projects as well! This is a great project and the students are already enjoying it!
